ABOUT

Fabiola is a PhD Candidate at the University of California, Merced. As part of the Public Health Department, Fabiola investigates how political economies shape epidemiological trends, particularly among Latino, farmworker, and rural populations.

Informed by her experiences growing up in California’s Central Valley and in an immigrant farmworker household, Fabiola seeks to understand how the agricultural industry and immigration policy systems interact and reinforce social inequities that shape Latino and farmworker health outcomes.
